Configuring Your System Usage Policy Campus Maps |
Windows XP Software Configuration for WirelessFollow the steps to configure your laptop to work on the wireless network. Step 1: Click on "Start" and then "Control Panel".
Step 2: Double-click on the "Network Connections" icon
Step 3: Right click on your wireless network connection and select "Properties".
Step 4: Select "Internet Protocol" (TCP/IP) in the "Wireless Network Connection Properties" window then click on "Properties".
Step 5: Both options should be set to obtain an address automatically. Click on "OK" to return to the "Wireless Network Connection Properties" window.
Step 6: Select the tab "Wireless Networks".
Step 7: Click "View Wireless Networks".
Step 8: If you are in a designated Rutgers Newark wireless area and click on "Refresh network list", NCS-WLAN will be listed under "Choose a wireless network".
